When one imagines traditional Chinese paintings there are a number of things that spring to mind, namely mist-filled valleys topped off with dramatic peaks and swift sunsets. What isn’t likely to come up is rollerblades. But that is exactly what Californian-based artist Tian Haisu has incorporated into her vision of Chinese ink paintings. She has developed specially modified skates that release black ink as she glides across her canvas, sketching her fabulous artworks.
