Frank Plant is an American artist currently living and working in the warmer climate of Barcelona, Spain. He actually began working with steel while studying at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and was instantly fascinated with the material due to its durability, and “secondly but of no less importance the tools and techniques that you use to work with it. Even the smell is kinda home,” he admits. His art pieces look like ink drawings, yet the fact that they’re metal sculptures takes it to a whole other level of appreciation. Clearly welding isn’t for everyone, as it is quite laborious and technically difficult to do right.

In addition to the sculptures hanging on walls as you see here, he has started a jewelry line with miniature versions of past art pieces, so now you can wear silver chain pendants designed by the artist.
