Red hair is a mysterious colour and throughout history has been likened to some odd personality characteristics: those with this shade famously possess a hot and fiery temper to match that tint, apparently. But there is none of that in the delicate portraits of Kristina Varaksina. Through soft lighting and makeup, the artist draws on the quieter side of redheads and takes some beautiful images in the process.
