In the photography of Alexia Sinclair the immense wealth of history leaps off the page in spectacular fashion, as famous figures throughout the centuries are brought to life with eye-popping attention to detail.

The images displayed here were shot rather unbelievably within the walls of Skokloster Slott in Sweden, an ancient Baroque castle considered one of the finest of its kind in all Europe. Sinclair was influenced from the work of old masters like Vermeer to visually construct this series, “A Frozen Tale.”
