Last year, I had published some photos of Fanette G.’s anamorphic paintings in abandoned buildings, and since then, she has been working on a new series titled “Regenerate14” (view the top 3 images of this post). “I decided to take a step forward and teamed up with a graphic designer friend to work on an entirely invented impossible shaped alphabet,” she comments. Fanette G. is no longer just duplicating the Penrose triangle, she wants to go further by creating her own unique (impossible) shapes. “I love to work with spray paint, even though I am not coming from the classic street-art world. Tape has a really good-looking finishing, but the spray cans and paint in general allow you a lot of possibilities to work with, fun yet really precise.”
