From bright colors to fully monochromatic art, one thing certain is Louise McNaught is fascinated with nature themes. In some of her work, she adds neon paint to represent the animals’ presence and energy, an ethereal quality that is like they are shining from within. And in her latest piece with a celestial bird on moon (see above), she explains to us: it “focuses on animals as Gods, giving nature an elevated status (and some pieces have poetry as part of them). This one is based on an old folklore told by Native Americans, Siberians, and Celtics.”
