Although Omar Ortiz has a degree in graphic design, it was actually during his stay at university that he learnt drawing techniques and how to use materials such as pastel, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic and airbrush. As a result, once he finalized his course, he decided to pursue a career in painting instead of design. Today, Ortiz is recognized for his hyperrealist oil paintings of nude women.
