Requirements
You must have good writing skills in English. If you are a pro or hobbyist writer, we’re open to all types of writers. Please read how to apply?

Schedule
Our publications are launched every month or two months. Writing for us can be on-going or periodical assignment depending on your skills and interest.

The Benefits
This is a non-paying position. The compensation is the recognition that comes from having your article delivered in a professional and awarded online magazine. Scene 360 was honored as “Best Magazine” at Pixel Awards in 2008, and nominated again in 2009. It is rated as the World’s Top 100 “Arts” and “Movies” websites at Alexa.com.

Our readers are from all parts of the world, however, the majority are from the United States (est. 50%). We receive over 60,000 viewers every month, and over a million views throughout the years. Our magazine has been consistently online for over ten years.

Writing for us can be your chance to develop your skills and portfolio to take bigger leaps into the journalistic industry. All selected writers will have their work credited and linked to a profile page (with biography and site link).

Working with Us
Our goal is to make each assignment creative and educational for our writers and readers. We look for quality and diversity in article topics, and we enjoy exchanging ideas with writers to finding the appropriate article for an upcoming issue. It is important for writers to have a good understanding of the subject that they will be writing about.

If you are selected to write for us: 1) We will ask you to make a small list of topics or of creative individuals you’d really like to interview or review. Article themes must fit into one of the following fields: art, design,  film, literature, music, or technology. 2) The editor will then select the best suited topic from your list. 3) You get started on your article.

How to apply?
Send samples of your writing via email to editor Adriana de Barros at submit(AT)scene360(DOT)com. Include: Your resume/CV, and a small number of writings samples in Word files or URLs. Also add your site URL(s) (if applicable).

Terms of Submission to Scene 360
All writing should be exclusive to Scene 360, non-published and original. No plagiarism. All writing and artwork submissions to Scene 360 are accepted on the basis that the author or artist grants Scene 360 a non-exclusive license, royalty-free, perpetual, to edit, adapt, publish, translate, and display such content within Scene 360’s site, affiliate projects, or in any publication form and media. All submissions are credited to their creators.

All submitted poetry, short stories, Flash films, individual projects created outside of Scene 360, are credited and remain property of their individual creators.

Calls for Interactive Storytelling Films

We are open to submissions for interactive poetry and prose, or short stories. Storytelling using interactive media, animation, design. Preferably, unpublished writing or artwork. Send your submission to submit(AT)scene360(DOT)com (in text format, Flash, or URLs). Please include your name, email address, (date of the piece is optional), and location. Submit News

Submit a Video

We are selecting videos within the fields of art, photography, poetry, storytelling, film, music, and technology.

1. 1. It must be a video playing at Vimeo.com
2. 2. Video themes only within the ones mentioned above (art, photography, etc.)
3. 3. Good quality images and sound.
4. 4. Unique, original, or entertaining content. We’ll only be selecting the best of the best.
5. 5. Make your video suggestion via URL on the comment box at our Video Channel.
6. 6. Maximum submissions: 1 video per month.
