To enter this give-away you must submit: Your First Name or Nickname, REAL E-mail, and express your excitement to win give-away in the comment box below. Use the fill out form to add details. Remember we can only contact real email addresses, and your email will be kept private.
The judge’s decision is final. The selection will be drawn at random.
No cash or other alternative prize is available.
The winner will be notified by e-mail within 7 days of drawing. The winner must respond within 5 days from the date of the notification attempt. I have been having problems with almost all hosting providers I have come across. Been switching every year (for the past 4 years) to a new host only to find they suck

I’ve always wanted to host my site thru mediatemple but I couldn’t afford their services that I availed a hosting from another provider that after a year I didn’t renew because guess what I couldn’t afford it anymore. Hello. for several months I have read information about the hosting of Mediatemple and goodness of its services and its technical support. I am a novice user of ubuntu linux (from Ubuntu 8.10), a student of computer science) and from a personal project started in February. The project aims to create a blog about my learning in the Ubuntu Linux operating system.

The blog has been online about 6 months and not had as many visits as the “Star Blogs” but if you’ve had enough visits to give me much encouragement and publish new articles and content.
Unfortunately the hosting where my blog is not supported the number of visits per day and is generating me problems, so I need a new hosting quality and economic to continue with my project and be able to offer more content to my readers.
The problem that prevents me from buying a new hosting quality in the USA is that in my country there is a currency control is difficult and that requests for electronic purchasing dollars are aprovadad abroad by the government, besides that I’m still in research and I do not have enough money to pay for quality hosting.

I am thrilled that offered this type of competition with Mediatemple it is one of the best hosting companies for quality and low cost in the world.

Winning this award would give me the opportunity to continue my blog project on linux and I would learn the language better and test Ruby and Rails frameworks that I am currently.

We use (mt) for all our company sites and clients as I love the service so much. I also use a dedicated server for my http://www.twitterface.com product. I recommend (mt) to others because I love the way the service makes it easy to access all your domains quickly from the control panel, and I’ve always received good support pretty quickly when needed. Free hosting for life? Like, L.I.F.E.? Calculated out that’s a savings of $16,800.. assuming I live till I’m 90. Give or take a few years. I’ve hosted my websites on Dreamhost, Segpub, Webfaction, Textpattern. But I’d say that the best experience I had was the one year of (gs) lite I got myself as a new year gift. Of course I couldn’t afford the (gs) after the year was over, but it’d be oh so great to get it again, and right around my birthday too (August 22nd) Ever since I’ve been on the web, (mt) has been like the holy grail of hosting for designers, and the fun thing is that this comes from 360! I have seen MANY websites rise to success just by having a reliable hosting provider (specifically speaking – MediaTemple). When helping friends out, I logged into their backend, and it is unbelievably easy to navigate around, even when my friends had multiple domains and whatnot.

Their (gs) service is worth the $20 per month (or so I heard from reliable colleagues). And you’ll probably only need (gs) (their “cheapest” hosting plan) in your lifetime, too.

Having a lifetime of (gs) will be extremely beneficial to me, as I have several ideas of what to use it for already.

Wait! You don’t specify whose life! Is it my life? Can I nominate another life? I have some young children who will probably live to 2100.

Will MT host my entire life, or just my professional/public life? I don’t think I want my personal life hosted, I don’t want to be filtered in China.

My life is pretty low-bandwidth, though, my uptime is only around 70%, and I’m never going to be on Oprah, so I’m unlikely to consume additional resources.

(mt) Media Temple’s (gs) service ROCKS. Colleagues of mine are using it nowadays and they’ve had next-to-no problems with the hosting. I’m thinking about starting a relatively large project, and I’ll need a reliable service such as (mt) to take care of the hosting part of my project.

This contest could not have come at a better time. Five months ago, my position as a graphic designer/creative director was eliminated abruptly after 12 years of dedicated service. With the market the way it is, finding a replacement position seems impossible. It would be a HUGE relief on my budget to eliminate hosting costs – money that I must continue to invest to keep my search going. Because as a Mexican web developer I need a good support in order to keep doing stuff, the hosting plans in mexico are bad, and the dollar is a 1USD == 13.4 Mexican pesos.

As a mexican it is very difficult to make web, no resources, not many people trust in web plattaform, but, I LOVE WEB and I am will doing WEB all my life so if you can help me and give me a hosting plan for my personal projects I can be more productive and more happy
